Built by Nature Announces Two New Appointments
Built by Nature is pleased to announce two important appointments to our team, both vital to the smooth and efficient management of our operations and financial resources:
Jeroen Beek, Head of Operations
As Built by Nature’s new Head of Operations, Jeroen Beek brings a broad range of operational and service leadership to this important role. With over 15 years of relevant experience in international start-up and scale-up organisations and a background in IT with a specialisation in visual communication technologies, Jeroen now plays an instrumental role as a member of the Built by Nature senior management team.
Jeroen is responsible for strategic planning, risk and financial management, human resources, governance, organisational development and office/IT management, as well as contract oversight. He also supports the governance of the Built by Nature Fund, focusing on due diligence and financial management.
On joining Built by Nature, Jeroen said: “This is a wonderful opportunity to help shape the organisation in service of Built by Nature’s mission, while supporting the creation of an ecosystem of solutions that help scale up the timber and biobased building transformation.”
Jeroen and his family are based in Amsterdam.

Nicole Clifford, Financial Controller
Nicole has worked in finance for many years in both corporate and philanthropic sectors, shifting to the latter five years ago to work for organisations that are making a difference in the world, including Made-By, C&A Foundation, Laudes Foundation and most recently Constanter Philanthropy Services.
With her hands-on experience across numerous financial, human resource and administrative functions, Nicole sees the importance of her contribution as providing service for teams internally: “I get joy from offering financial and administrative support, so that our teams can focus on Built by Nature’s work, which is so relevant in our current world, and not worry about the ‘back-end’ tasks.”
Originally from Australia, Nicole has lived in The Netherlands for the past 10 years.
