Global industry backs timber principles
More than 200 organisations have endorsed the Principles for Responsible Timber Construction, a first-of-its-kind global framework to ensure timber use in buildings benefits climate, nature, and people. From forest managers and manufacturers to investors, architects, and engineers, stakeholders across the value chain are aligning around five clear principles for responsible timber construction.
Endorsers include Stora Enso, Green Finance Institute, Waugh Thistleton Architects, PEFC International, and Aalto University, among many others. Their support signals growing momentum for using timber in the built environment as a climate solution, when sourced and used responsibly.
