Declaration & Consent Agreement for the 2025 Responsible Timber Construction Prize

By submitting this application, I confirm that I have read and understood the terms outlined below and agree to the following:

1. Accuracy of Information

  • I confirm that all information provided in this application is accurate, truthful, and complete to the best of my knowledge.
  • I understand that any false or misleading information may result in disqualification from the Prize.

2. Compliance with Eligibility & Selection Criteria

  • I confirm that the submitted project meets the eligibility criteria outlined in the Built by Nature Prize webpage, and in the Prize Terms of Reference.
  • I acknowledge that the project will be evaluated based on the outlined criteria and that the jury’s decisions are final and binding.

3. Use of Submitted Materials

  • I grant Built by Nature (BbN) the right to use project descriptions, images, and supporting documents for:
    • Public announcements, including press releases, social media, and industry reports.
    • Inclusion in the Built by Nature Knowledge Hub as a case study.
    • Materials related to responsible timber construction.
  • I confirm that I have the necessary rights or permissions to share all submitted materials and that they do not infringe on any third-party rights.

4. Communications & Media Consent

  • I agree to participate in promotional activities, including but not exclusive to:
    • Interviews for media, website, and social channels.
    • A potential short film or documentary featuring my project.
    • Presentation opportunities at industry events and COP30.
  • I understand that the Prize does not provide financial compensation for media participation but will ensure appropriate attribution.

5. Data Protection & Privacy

  • I consent to the storage and processing of my personal and project data solely for the purposes of the Prize.
  • I acknowledge that my data could be shared with a limited number of third parties directly involved in the Prize process (such as jury members and system partners), solely for the purpose of evaluation and coordination, and will not be shared beyond that without my explicit consent.
  • I agree to be contacted by BbN for future opportunities related to its mission, including but not limited to partnerships, events, campaigns, and collaborative initiatives beyond the scope of the Prize.
