HAVEP

Paul de Ruiter Architects. Goirle, Netherlands

Reclaimed materials featured in large-scale timber-hybrid workplace.

The 10,774 m² HAVEP headquarters unites offices, a Texperience Center, and a 7,826 m² warehouse in a two-storey timber-hybrid complex. Glulam beams, CLT walls, and modular, dismountable design featuring reclaimed materials to create a flexible, future-ready structure. Honouring HAVEP’s 150-year heritage and completed in 2022, the project delivers a collaborative workplace with abundant daylight and community-focused design.

Green space is preserved, while water management systems reduce runoff.
Circularity is at the core of the project: 1,100 reclaimed Iroko façade panels, salvaged steel, biobased flax insulation, and FSC/PEFC-certified European timber are paired with solar panels and heat pumps for energy-positive operation. Storing 1,674 tonnes of CO₂, the project exemplifies how circular timber architecture can scale up industrially while educating and inspiring globally.
