Shaping the carbon sink built environment with timber finance solutions

The Timber Finance Initiative (TFI) and its partners Wiese Advisory and Swiss Sustainable Finance are engaging and educating the sustainable finance sector on the benefits and opportunities of investing in the forest and timber economy, using their Timber Finance Carbon Capture & Storage Index to generate data, research and advocacy. The end goal is to establish timber as a thematic investment class within sustainable finance, and drive demand among investors and developers for investments in the timber economy.

The Timber Finance Initiative, founded in 2021, is the Swiss competence center for timber investments. They promote the sustainable investment opportunities of the forest and timber industry through the development of new financial products, carbon credits, whitepapers and advisory services.
