Perception of Timber: Accelerating Change at MIND

This scientific review report on the perception and state of mass timber in Italy was produced by Fondazione Politecnico di Milano.

This scientific review, developed by Fondazione Politecnico di Milano (Department of Energy) is part of the “Perception of Timber – Accelerating Change at MIND” project coordinated by Climate-KIC Holding B.V. with the participation of Lendlease, Waugh Thistleton Architects (WTA), University College of London, Arup, and Stora Enso, and co-funded by Build by Nature. The project aims to address, raise awareness of, and overcome negative barriers to the perception of structural timber in Italy. The report authors describe the outcomes of the scientific review implemented, based on the existing literature and economic data, with policies, economic, financial, and environmental aspects analysed and presented as viable solutions.
