Viviane Regout Joins Built by Nature Board as Treasurer
AMSTERDAM, December 19. Built by Nature is delighted to announce that Viviane Regout has joined its Board of Directors as Treasurer, bringing a wealth of industry experience and a visionary approach to advancing the organisation’s drive toward sustainable timber and biobased construction.
Viviane, an accomplished leader in the real estate sector, was recently appointed Executive Director of BAM Residential to oversee BAM Wonen, area developer AM, and the Homestudios experience centre. She was previously CEO of Lister Buildings, a family-owned company developing, managing, and investing in real estate, with a focus on setting the benchmark in timber residential construction.
Viviane’s career spans 28 years, including over a decade as Director of Portfolio Renewal at housing corporation Ymere and management positions at Heilijgers and Kristal. She holds a Master’s degree in Architecture & the Built Environment from Delft University of Technology.
Viviane’s perspectives on the convergent crises of housing and climate align with Built by Nature’s:
"I am excited to collaborate with this team at the forefront of the biobased transformation. In this sector, with the sharing of knowledge a challenge, I’m looking forward to witnessing the growth and impact of the Built by Nature Knowledge Hub,"
she added, referencing the organisation’s newly launched on-line information ecosystem of partner and contributors’ innovation and practical guidance.
In addition to her professional roles, Viviane is a member of the partner council of the Master City Developer (MCD) programme and has held board positions at NEPROM and the Spring Agreement, an initiative to improve energy efficiency in new buildings through collaboration with the Ministry of the Interior and Kingdom Relations.
Commenting on the appointment, Built by Nature Chairman Donald Brenninkmeijer said:
"Built by Nature has experienced three years of remarkable growth and development. Since 2021 we have co-funded over 30 solutions-focused projects and brought together more than 100 industry frontrunners across four national networks to accelerate the use of timber and biobased materials."
“This success would not have been possible without the support of our founder directors including Amol Mehra, and on behalf of the whole board I extend our thanks for his dedicated service and invaluable contributions to the organisation. We are delighted to welcome Viviane to the board and are confident that her extensive leadership experience, deep industry knowledge and personal passion for our mission will be huge assets in our pursuit of a built environment in harmony with nature."
